"...nice and quiet, nobody I could see. So I should have relaxed, but I couldn't--I suddenly had a strong feeling that I was being watched. It took me a minute, checking corners and dark patches with my eyes and ears, before I realized what it was: one of the park's homeless people, all the way across the road.
