In Which I Realise How Much Writing I've Got Done

A discussion elsewhere prompted some realisations
about how much writing I've got done, and in how long.

I'm just starting the second half of the chapter in
<i>Book of Days</i> that wrapped up the murders on the
band's megatour. The second half is them at the
Grammys, winning thirteen awards and seeding the next
book (<i>Uncle John's Band</i>) for story. Then the
big kaboom at the end of this one, epilogue, and this
one - likely around 93.5K words - will be done.

Between 27 May 2005 and the end of this June, I will
have written seven full-length novels (five Kinkaids
and two Haunted Ballads for St. Martins Press), one
essay ("Truth, in the Middle", in the For keeps
anthology coming out on Seal Press in December), the
first 15K or so words of <i>Seven Women</i>, with
Daymond John, some short stories ("Ghost in the Key of
B" is being looked at), full songs (lyrics and music
both) for both myself and my fictional band,
Blacklight....

I need a nap.
